History
1996 , Obtained the investment license from the Investment and Planning Ministry of Vietnam (with 2 investors Daiichi Chinmi Co.,Ltd & Nichimen Corporation )
1997, Completed construction of the 1st factory, started production & export to Japan
2003, Obtained HACCP certification & European Code & started to sell product in Vietnam & into other markets.
2004, Nichimen investor transferred their share to Daiichi Chinmi investor. And started to expand the 2nd factory. At the same time, signed the contract with Chuka Takahashi Co., Ltd in Japan to process shark fin products for them.
2005, The 2nd factory officially operated to produce high value added products. Since then, Daiichi’s become the only one investor.

General overview - Factory situation - Introduction
Our products have been produced by a modern, advanced & safe food processing technology. Our factory’s been located in Danang, where has one of Vietnam’s major fishing ports. We’ve daily purchased the fresh materials from local fishermen & regional fishing vessels. Our company includes 02 factories: the factory 1 specializing in processing uncooked products such as fish paste (surimi), frozen shrimp, cuttelfish/ squid fillet; and the factory 2 specializing in processing cooked products with high value-added foods, divided into 5 areas for steaming, frying, baking, boiling & drying.
In order to process the above products, many types of equipments, machineries and tools have been imported from Japan, Taiwan, US, … equipped at the factory 1 with surimi processing line, fish skinning machine, contact freezers, freezing tunnels, cold drying tunnels ..., and at factory 2 with steaming line, imitation crab meat production line, tofu production line, cooling system, boilers, drying cabinets, fryers, silent cutters, fish paste molding machines, fish ball forming machines. The machineries are under the most advanced maintenance supports.

Purchase : we’ve purchased our raw materials not only from Vietnam but also from other countries worldwide on the basis of our safety standard, such as cod fish, yellow tail, red rock fish, herring, halibut, pollack, salmon, shrimp, herring roe, pacific saury, frozen vegetables etc. from Russia, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Iceland, Chilly, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand etc. Because of our factory close to Danang fishing port, we could purchase daily multi- types of fresh sea products from fisherman as well as other nearby fishing areas.
Sales: our products’ve been sold directly to international markets such as Japan, Korea, UE, USA, Hong Kong, Australia and Vietnamese domestic markets through our agencies (Mayumi Shokuhin Co., Ltd., V&V Co., Ltd. in Hochiminh). Our products are present at supermarket chains such as Big C, Metro, Mini Mart, Lotte Mart etc. and hotel chains, catering services, restaurants, wedding palaces, etc. anywhere in Vietnam under the brand name of Mayumi.

Our company is one member of Daiichi Chinmi group, who is our only investor. This group has 4 factories in the world in connection to create premium foods. It’s based on this organizational capacity to make plan, develop products, find out the freshest raw materials, for the purposes of processing foods and marketing to the world.

Freshness & safety are very important in foods. We’ve tried our best to to obtain the best material sources under our experiences. Through our international network, we could get update information of the best catching & harvest season to provide the best quality at reasonable price.
